A justice Magistrate said last week that the surname was an assumed name and that we assume it from our father, I said, is there anywhere on the CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH where I have assumed the surname, he said no but that’s what we do! … I said, did I assume it and can you force a man to assume a surname, he said no, it can’t be forced, it’s voluntary.
The surname is an assumed name because when it appears as a wordmark, (ALL UPPERCASE TEXT) it does not grammatically form a proper noun because all uppercase text is no part of the English grammatical syntax, therefor, the one who holds it has “assumed’ it. as a name when in fact it is not a name at all So what is the real name?, just the given name, a given is a fact.
How could it be so simple yet no one can see it???? …
